Maintaining Gains after your Testosterone cycle

Maintaining gains (increased muscle mass) depends on you more than the products you use. This is true for testosterone and any anabolic steroid. The end of an anabolic steroid cycle can trigger catabolism (muscle loss) because the muscles contain fewer active androgen receptors and the body produces fewer anabolic compounds.

Many users continue to take smaller doses of steroids to prevent muscle loss. This is a dangerous mistake!

How to keep gains after your cycle

Your diet, recovery and training play a major role in maintaining your gains.

Maintaining bulking gains from testosterone

Bulking gains are more difficult to keep.
Part of this mass is due to water retention and the fat stored up by your body.
It’s this water retention that gives your muscles a swollen and flabby appearance

Retained water will gradually go away at the end of your cycle, which explains why you will lose some of your gains.

Many athletes start a cycle of cutting after a cycle of mass gains to give their body a hardened, striated look.

  • If your goal is to stay at a heavy weight, stay disciplined and respect your training programs, diets, support treatment and PCT.
  • If you want to keep what you have acquired you must stay active.
This way, on average 80% of gains that you’ve acquired are kept.

To prevent excessive muscle loss, you must consume a diet rich in amino acids and proteins; dietary supplements will help you optimize results.
Potassium bicarbonate will help you anticipate muscle loss by restoring your body’s acidic balance.

You must consume calories at a much higher rate than you burn them for your body to accumulate and keep gains. This way you will stabilize at your new weight as your body adjusts.

Maintaining dry mass gains from testosterone

The previous dietary advice is still true here, but these gains are easier to keep.

During testosterone treatments you will often use additional products like Winstrol, Primobolan or other anabolic steroids that burn fat and don’t cause water retention. Clenbuterol and T3 Cytomel are also good products for dry mass gains.

Other dietary supplements, including fat burners like L-Carnitine, will complete your stack.

When choosing products for your treatment, give preference to testosterone or testosterone mixes that cause minimal water retention.

All the same, be sure to adjust your intake of the different elements so that they are not too low or too high.

  • If they are too low, your body will use up your muscles as energy (in the form of proteins, carbs, amino acids). All of your work and sacrifice will be for nothing.
  • Alternately, if you consume too much, your body will store the excess fat and you will gain weight but lack the aesthetic muscle mass you worked so hard for. Your muscles will appear swollen and flabby.

Therefore the advice for bulking is applicable here as well.

You will find the means to maintain your gains in your diet, training, and dietary supplements.

Testosterone and Peptides

Another efficient method is to use peptides at the end of your treatment and during recovery.

Peptides like cjc-1295, ghrp-2 or ghrp-6 allow you to easily conserve quality mass and avoid muscle loss.
